Domūs Architecture is a collaborative design practice whose work prioritizes the human spirit and its place in the natural world. We are based in Post Falls, Idaho and our practice offers architectural design services including custom residential, multifamily, commercial, and selective mixed-use.
Domūs – “Doh-moos”
The Latin word domūs is the plural form of domus, which means “house” or “home” in the sense of a dwelling or residence. It can refer to a building, mansion, or palace, and is used to describe a place where a person lives. The term extends beyond physical structures to denote a household or family, including the dependents of the head of a house. It can also signify a native country or town and is used in idiomatic expressions such as “domi” (at home) and “domum” (to home). In a broader anthropological context, domus refers to a farmstead with its people, plants, and animals considered as a unit.
Founded in 2025, Domūs Architecture is an architectural office providing full architectural, planning, and interior design services.
The Studio is led by Omar Velasco García with a rotating crew of talented subconsultants and designers.
Omar has worked in respected architecture firms throughout the PNW (Pacific Northwest) collaborating with talented architects.
Omar received his Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design from University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
